Surrey Muse Writers (SMW) is a drop-in for writers to present work, exchange ideas and provide feedback to each other in order to facilitate the development of creative writing projects. Guidelines are in place for a respectful, positive, warm and inspiring interaction.

Manolis (Emmanuel Aligizakis) is a Greek-Canadian poet, translator, publisher and author who has written over twenty books of poetry where each title explores a different theme, a different emotion. His work has appeared in various languages and countries, and he has received international literary awards and distinctions. He has translated in English great Greek poets such as Yannis Ritsos, Constantine Cavafy, and George Seferis. His translation ‘George Seferis-Collected Poems’ was shortlisted for the Greek National Literary Awards. Manolis heads Libros Libertad, an unorthodox and independent publishing company he founded in 2006 with the mission to publish unique literary books.
